Caroline Street

Since the release of their debut album in December 2012, Caroline Street have received a wealth of praise for their Britpop-influenced blend of indie-pop. Finland's heavy-dominated landscape has so far proved a difficult nut to crack with this genre of music, but with surprising worldwide breakthroughs from bands such as Mumford & Sons, it's only a matter of time before someone picks up on Caroline Street's delightful musical trail.

Formed in April 2012 by frontman Tom Morgan, the intention of the full-band setup was to fill-out the Welshman’s existing songs and to add another level to an already formed trio setup. The trio (acoustic/vox + piano/vox + cello) was joined by bass, lead guitar and drums and this gave Caroline Street the fuller sound required for playing bigger venues.

Caroline Street played a low-key debut show at Black Door, Helsinki on June 1st 2012. A handful of rehearsals and two shows later, the band began pre-production on their debut studio album, Salt & Vinegar.

Salt & Vinegar was released globally on December 22nd 2012, along with a debut promo/single, Kamikaze. The official release gig took place at The Moon Club in Cardiff - fittingly for a band which takes it’s name from an infamous ‘landmark’ in the Welsh capital!

You’re joining Caroline Street right at the beginning of their journey, so jump aboard, bring your friends along and enjoy the ride!
